Guide to the Helsinki Fair Centre
The Helsinki Fair Centre, which is locally called the Helsingin Messukeskus is one of the most prestigious exhibition and conference spaces in the city of Helsinki. This exhibition space is located at Messuaukio 1, Helsinki, Etela-Suomen Laani 00520 and can be found in the Eastern section of the Pasila district. It is one of the most popular locations for international and local exhibitions, conferences and trade fairs held in Finland, with different events being held on its premises throughout the year.
The main feature of the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre is the fact that its offers many options for event organisers. Unlike most exhibition spaces that offer only a single exhibition hall for a conference in Finland, this venue has six separate spaces for exhibitions and a set of meeting rooms in addition to this. These meeting rooms vary in size in order to accommodate small, medium and large sized gatherings. In total, there are 40 meeting halls at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Fair Centre is a very lively venue with events held almost weekly and with shows including the ‘Wine, Food and Good Living Expo’, ‘Ski Expo’, ‘Helsinki International Boat Show’ and ‘Spring Garden Show’. With over 40 annual exhibitions taking place in the exhibition halls at the Helsinki Fair Centre, this is a busy and popular location.
Visitors from out of town who visit this exhibition centre normally prefer to stay at the neighbouring Holiday Inn Hotel. This hotel is adjacent to the Helsinki Fair Centre and provides excellent accommodation. Apart from this hotel, there are also other smaller accommodation choices for visitors. Visitors can also choose to visit one of the 11 cafes and restaurants that are situated next to the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre.
In terms of access, visitors will find it very easy to reach the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. It is well connected by public transport, with a number of buses from around the city having this venue as their destination. In addition to the trains that stop at the Pasila railway station, which is a couple of minutes walk from the centre, it is also possible to drive down to the Helsinki Fair Centre, with ample parking available at the venue. Helsinki International airport is also within a taxi ride of the exhibition venue and this makes the venue a very convenient one for those travelling to the city specifically for a show.
