Sending Freight to the Middle East from the UK

International freight is common place in today’s market place. It is common for companies to source or produce products in one country before shipping it to another for the purpose of selling it. When sending freight to other parts of the world there are a number of things you must consider. Below are some of thesethings to consider when sending freight to the UK.

Method of Freight

There are a number of different ways in which you can send freight from the UK to the Middle East. The main two choices are air freight and sea freight. Opting for air freight will ensure that your shipment arrives much quicker, although it will almost certainly be more expensive.

Taxes and Customs

Remember to do your research into what taxes and customs charges you will face when sending goods from the Middle East to the UK. Your freight company may not take these into account and, as such, you may end up with an unexpected bill.

When designing or choosing packaging to be used when sending freight to the Middle East you should be conscious of what might offend people in that environment. You should consider that the Middle East culture is extremely different to that of the UK and therefore values, attitudes, behaviour and beliefs should be considered.

Freight Company

When deciding on which company to use to “ship” your goods to the Middle East you should attempt to find a company which has a proven track record in delivering to this part of the world and has good customer satisfaction levels.
