Trends in the Freight Forwarding Industry (Part 1)

The freight forwarding and logistics industry in each country has a very strong impact on that region’s economy and international standing, with these services directly linked to trade, import and export. As a result of this, almost every country invests into this sector of its economy, looking to improve trade by introducing favorable trade laws, lucrative import-export taxes and encouraging new transport trends and innovations.

The growth of new trends in the freight forwarding industry has seen an increase in the number of freight forwarding companies all over the world and an improvementof the transport sector as a whole. This has made it possible for an exporter to send cargo to almost any part of the world at a competitive cost and in a faster timeframe. This increased competiveness has meant a greater and better choice of freight company for consumers. A trend towards efficient and quality freight forwarding has thus become more important in recent years.

One of the latest trends being highlighted in the freight forwarding industry is an increased demand for consignment security in the industry. This has led to the growth of freight insurance companies which provide coverage for your consignment: Freight insurance is advisable when transporting expensive or fragile cargo over long distances, especially if you are using air freight or sea freight.
